Hello Rain - Photojournalism Activity

Our professor in Photojournalism class, Mr. Elvert Bañares gave us an activity before we leave PLM since our classes were suspended due to heavy rain. I was challenged since this the very first day we will take photographs. I had a difficult time to find my subject, but it was a great opportunity to walk and take pictures while I'm enjoying the rain.

These were the people who are still in action though rain continuously pouring.

UNDER MY UMBRELLA. Through rain or shine, this man always does his job.

I'LL BE WATCHING YOU. Whoever passes this street will always feel secured because this man will look after you.

IRONY. The rain was pouring and this woman still sells ice cream. How ironic it is.

While we're waiting for jeepney, these were the scenarios grabbed my attention.

SMOOTH SAILING. Children never care for their safety and health. Who cares? They just wanna have fun under the rain.

HOME SWEET HOME. Whenever you are, a home will always be your safe haven. Unfortunately, I bet not with this family.

HELLO MANILA. Manila is now called largest swimming pool. But who would enjoy this kind of water?

PANICKED. This is usually the scenario of Manila after rain.People were trembling how they can find their way home.

A DAY AFTER INDEPENDENCE DAY. It was just yesterday when we celebrated Independence Day and yet this flag remained distorted and was left under the rain.

CRAP. Yes it is. These are our waste and this is the reason why different areas in Metro Manila were flooded. Now tell me, who were to blame?

BEAUTY FADES. Sunny days have passed but the beauty of these flowers still remained.
